The Willie F. Moore, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
“A Life of Faith, Family, and Purpose”
About the Scholarship
One (1) recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for tuition, books, or academic-related expenses.
The Willie F. Moore, Sr. Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of a man who exemplified faith, service, leadership, and resilience. Willie F. Moore, Sr. was the first in his family to attend college, earning his education from North Carolina A&T. While he once dreamed of becoming a professional golfer, his calling led him on a more powerful course—one of ministry, mentorship, and compassionate service to others.

He worked in funeral services at Perry’s Funeral Home in Newark, NJ, offering comfort to the grieving, and later became a full-time Bible worker with the Allegheny East Conference in Wilmington, DE. Whether delivering Bible studies, mentoring others, or guiding souls toward faith, Willie did it all with humility and purpose.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and guiding figure to many, including his goddaughter and mentee, Kim Campbell-Smith. Mr. Moore was a man of conviction and compassion.
