A Powerful Moment for The Campbell House: Celebrating the Young Women of She Owns Her Hustle - Manifesting Her Best Self
Last Thursday, The Campbell House held a ceremony that captured the true essence of its mission — not just in what was presented, but in what was felt throughout the room.
The completion of our She Owns Her Hustle: Manifesting Her Best Self workshop marked a significant milestone for the young women who participated, but more importantly, it marked a moment of transformation. What began as a series of weekly workshops centered on entrepreneurship, confidence, and personal development evolved into something far deeper: a space where young women were encouraged to explore their identities, articulate their goals, and begin envisioning futures that felt both possible and within reach.
Building More Than Business Ideas
Over the course of the program, participants engaged in guided discussions, mentorship, and hands-on activities designed to help them develop not only business concepts, but a stronger sense of self.
They were asked to think critically about who they are, what they want, and how they might begin building something of their own. For many, this process required stepping outside of their comfort zones, finding their voice, and learning to speak about their ideas with clarity and confidence.
By the time the ceremony arrived, that growth was evident in ways that could not be overlooked. It showed in how they carried themselves, how they spoke, and how they presented their ideas with a level of ownership that reflected the work they had done throughout the program.
A Moment of Recognition That Meant More
Each young woman stood before a room of peers, mentors, and supporters to share her aspirations and the vision she is developing for her future. What made the moment so powerful was not only what they said, but how they said it, with confidence, intention, and belief in themselves.
A particularly meaningful highlight of the evening was the official recognition presented to the participants. The young women were honored with a formal Resolution from the City of Newark, presented by Dupré Kelly, acknowledging their participation in the program and their commitment to personal growth, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
For many of the girls, this moment represented something far greater than an award. It served as a rare and powerful form of validation, a public acknowledgment that their voices matter, their efforts are seen, and their potential is worthy of recognition at the highest levels of their community.
An Investment in Their Futures
In addition to this recognition, each participant received a series of resources intentionally designed to support the next steps in her journey.
Through a collaborative effort between The Campbell House, 211 Community Impact, and Autumn’s Echo, the girls were provided with tangible tools to begin bringing their ideas to life. These included lifestyle photoshoots, which allow them to present themselves and their brands with confidence; professionally developed branding kits, which serve as the foundation for their business identities; and custom materials tailored to their individual business concepts.
These resources were not given simply as celebratory items. They were provided with purpose, as an extension of the program’s mission. The goal is not only to inspire young women, but to equip them with the tools necessary to take real, tangible steps toward their goals.
The Power of Mentorship and Community
The success of this program was not built on curriculum alone. It was shaped by the presence of mentors who showed up consistently, offering guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the process.
Their role created an environment where participants felt safe to express themselves, take risks, and grow. This kind of support system is critical, particularly for young women who may not always have access to spaces that nurture their ambitions and affirm their potential.
The ceremony reflected not only the growth of the participants, but the strength of the community that stood behind them.

Why This Work Matters
At its core, She Owns Her Hustle: Manifesting Her Best Self represents more than a workshop. It reflects a broader commitment by The Campbell House to create spaces where young women are not only supported, but challenged to grow, lead, and define success on their own terms.
Programs like this are essential in bridging the gap between potential and opportunity. Too often, young women are not given access to environments that nurture both their personal development and their professional aspirations. This program works to change that by combining mentorship, skill-building, and real-world resources in a way that creates lasting impact.
This Is Only the Beginning
While the ceremony marked the conclusion of this program cycle, it also signaled the beginning of what comes next for each of these young women.
The confidence they have built, the ideas they have developed, and the support they have received will continue to shape their paths moving forward. A full program recap video will be released in the coming weeks, offering a deeper look into the experiences and growth that defined this journey.
Be Part of What Comes Next
As The Campbell House continues to expand its programs and reach, moments like this serve as a powerful reminder of what is possible when young women are given the opportunity to be seen, heard, and supported in meaningful ways.
For those who believe in the importance of this work, there are many ways to become involved. Whether through mentorship, partnership, or financial support, every contribution plays a role in ensuring that more young women have access to programs like She Owns Her Hustle.
The impact of this work is not measured in a single ceremony, but in the long-term growth, confidence, and opportunities that these young women carry forward with them.
And based on what was witnessed last Thursday, that impact is already well underway. 🖤
